Description

Hazel Trees (Corylus avellana)

Traditionally used as a coppice tree and as a hedgerow species. Capable of growing into a shrubby, multi-stemmed tree of up to 8m, the hazel is cultivated in many countries for its edible nuts and its straight-growing poles which are regularly cut and used in traditional hedging techniques.

Nuthatches, the Hazel Dormouse, insects and bumblebees benefit from these trees.

Supplied trees are between 40cm and 60cm tall. Branches will be trimmed and trees supplied bare root for safe shipping.
