Wild cherries are the ancestors of modern eating cherries. The timber is pretty strong and polishes very nicely when it is used for decorative work. It also burns well, even when it is fresh and the smoke carries some of the flower’s scent.

Some local names for this tree include gean, crab cherry, hagberry and mazzard. Supplied trees are between 40cm and 60cm tall. Branches will be trimmed and trees supplied without plant pot for safe shipping and to reduce waste.
