Cedar of Lebanon (Cedrus libani)

A large and majestic cedar, the Cedar of Lebanon has grey-green evergreen foliage. The tree begins to grow as a conical but spreads as it matures.

It won the Award of Garden Merit in 2002. One of the most majestic of all trees and extensively planted as part of the enduring landscape of some of the grandest stately homes and estates in the UK.

The tree provides suitable nesting sites for birds such as tawny owls.
