Description
The free-floating Water soldier plants are a hardy rare native aquatic pond plant.
These plants play an important role to pollinators and especially dragonflies. The Norfolk Hawker is a rare British dragonfly which relies on plants such as the water soldier for breeding.
They produce white flowers between June – September and in the winter months they sink to the bottom of the pond, reappearing again late spring.
These plants are great for wildlife and we often see dragonfly larvae climb out of the water and transform on the leaves.
Delivery
The plants are packaged up in bubble wrap and placed into a sturdy box for 1st class Royal Mail delivery.
Water soldiers ordered between the months of September – March will be in their dormancy phase meaning they may not look their best and naturally sink when placed in the pond. Don’t worry, they will begin to re-emerge in the Spring!
Orders placed between Thurs-Sun will be posted out the following Monday to ensure plants arrive in optimum condition.
